Don't dread bikini season, but instead flaunt your stuff!

Every woman has their own distinct body shape. There is not one shape that every woman must categorize themselves with. While doing a body shape quiz, I found myself somewhere between athletic, curvy, lanky, and busty. So...what the heck am I? None. And all of them. At the same time.

Because I don't believe all women can identify with one single body type, I will throw some tips around for swimwear that's corresponds to YOUR needs (and not what your body shape quiz says you need).

Here are some tips for every body quirk so that you can look head to toe fabulous this summer!

BROAD SHOULDERS

Athletic figures come with broader shoulders, and halter necklines break up the shoulders making them appear smaller. 

AVOID: bandeaus, shapeless tankinis

LONG TORSO

High waisted bottoms will shorten your torso and elongate your legs!

AVOID: low cut bottoms that make your torso appear even longer

SHORT TORSO

The trick to elongate your torso is to lift your bust and wear a (appropriately) low cut bottom

AVOID: high waisted bottoms and tops that don't lift your chest

CURVY

Look for solid colours & prints to not distort your feminine proportions! Go for supportive tops that draw the eye to your assets

AVOID: skimpy and stringy bikinis (unless you're comfortable with all eyes on you)

PEAR SHAPED

Look for swimwear that elongates your torso and draws the eye towards your bust with cleavage, detailing, and halter straps.

AVOID: eye catching bottoms that cut awkwardly around your thighs

APPLE SHAPED

Wrap around swimsuits create a waist while the solid red colour slims your tummy

AVOID: tankinis that accentuate your top

SMALL BUTT

A brazilian cut bottom will enhance and draw eyes to your booty

AVOID: large bottoms that cover your small tush

SMALL BUST

Corset or halter style tops with with padding, gathering, ruffles, and frilly features will make your bust appear fuller.

AVOID: bandeaus that flatten chest
